332 COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment in ICU and ventilator KATHMANDU: A total of 332 COVID-19 patients in Nepal are receiving intensive care unit (ICU) treatment  and respiratory support. A total of 283 patients are in intensive care and 49 are on respiratory support. According to the Health Ministry, 23 people in Province 1, 11 in Province 2, 106 in Bagmati Province, 79 in Gandaki Province, 50 in Lumbini Province, seven in Karnali  and seven in Sudurpashim Province are being treated in intensive care. A total of four in Province 1, one in Province 2, 26, in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki Province, three in Lumbini and three in Karnali and two in Sudurpaschim Province are receiving respiratory support. © Online News

Coronavirus Nepal: Active cases cross 5,000-mark with new 814 cases detailed as of now Coronavirus Nepal: Active cases cross 5,000-mark with new 814 cases announced as of now Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Tuesday said it recorded a sum of 814 new instances of Covid-19 as of now. With the new cases, dynamic Covid-19 cases have crossed the 5,000-mark. Nepal as of now has 5,144 dynamic cases. A sum of 509 individuals were determined to have the infection in PCR tests while 305 were affirmed positive in the test embraced through the antigen strategy. A sum of 5,415 examples were tried as of now, as per the Health Ministry. The Ministry said 2,762 examples were tried through the PCR strategy while 2,653 examples were through the antigen technique. This takes the absolute number of positive cases in the country to 987,736 affirmed through RT-PCR tests and another 143,201 through antigen tests.
